New impulse to inclusive Badminton in the XXV Edition of  Popular San Isidro Badminton Championship 2018

The  number of entry fees have been of 210 : 110 have been from younger categories (from U9 to U17) and 100 in older categories: in Absolute category (to 29 year old), Seniors A (from 30 to 39 years old) Seniors B (from 40 to 49 years old) and  Seniors C (+50). Of total of entry fees, 52 have been women, (29%) and 128 men (71%). There have been players from 16 entities (clubs, schools, etc.), 15 of them have been from comunity of Madrid and 1 of them from Comunity of Castilla la Mancha (Club de Badminton Albatros, from Cuenca). In inclusive matches, taked part 4 people, a player from U15 category in WS, two players in Senior A category in MS and MD and a player from Senior C category who taked part in MD and XD. Clubs with players in inclusive matches havee been: CB Chamartín, CB Albatros, CB Collado Villalba and Municipal School from Hortaleza. In order to play  inclusive matches, adaptations and divisons on courts where applied, reducing the playing field depending on the grade of disaility of every player.

The model of competition that is promoting throught this tournament, corresponds with main goals of B4ALL Project, promoted by Erasmus+Sport 2018-2020, and named  BÁDMINTON FOR ALL.  European Network for Inclusive Badminton Promotion in which CB Chamartin is taking part lika a partner.
